The Centre moved to new premises at West Thornton Community Centre in the summer of 2011. The move was a great success. As a result of scheduling with the new premises, the sessions now run on Tuesdays. The move and the change of day has resulted in an increase in the attendance of members from the Thornton Heath area as well as the Broad Green area.
The new premises are very flexible, and this has encouraged Elmwood Community Centre to consider how to maximise the way in which the premises can be used for the benefit of members.
The focus of the Centre’s activities has increased around projects to increase integration of all age groups into the community and it is this on which we will work over the coming year.
Applications are now being prepared for funding for the new financial year.
